The Fairfax Lofts
The Fairfax Lofts were conceived to provide flexible, light-filled living spaces in one of Los Angeles’ most dynamic neighborhoods. The client sought to blend industrial character with modern livability, resulting in an adaptive reinterpretation of the classic urban loft.
Category’s design team drew inspiration from warehouse architecture—open spans, exposed structure, and honest materials—recast through a contemporary lens. Refined finishes, carefully proportioned windows, and vertical layering add warmth and sophistication. The result is a building that bridges past and present, maintaining authenticity while delivering a distinctly modern residential experience.
